Corvette has future with GM

The CEO of GM Fritz Henderson declared that despite of the financial difficulties General Motors is facing, Corvette will still have a future with GM. The C7 is on schedule, although its release date is still a secret. The C6 has been produced since 2005 and is still using important technical parts of the C5. The C7 will probably use the same technical parts in order to reduce costs. That would mean that the Corvette will be using 12 years of proven technique in the new decade.  Read More →

Corvette C6 Grand Sport

At the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky the Corvette Grand Sport was introduced. A special edition of the C6 with several Z06 characteristics. The 6.2 litre V8 has 437 hp and with an adjusted exhaust system it can deliver 5 hp more. An overview of the changes. Adjusted gear box and stabilizer bars, other shock absorbers and adjusted stabilizer bars. Furthermore the tyre measurements(275/35ZR18 and 325/30ZR19) have increased. Special Edition: Corvette GT1 Championship Edition

The Corvette GT1 Championship edition is introduced to honour the Corvette's successes with the C6R in the GT1 class. This is a special edition of the Corvette C6, C6 convertible and the Z06. You can choose between a yellow edition with black striping or a black edition with  yellow striping. Both editions have  black headlights. Apart from the Z06 the Corvette Gt1 editions have a  Z51 perfomance pack and a NPP sports exhaust. The performance pack delivers an extra 10hp and the sound enigineers gave the exhaust more noise.  Read More →
